Right down the length of the coastline there are plenty of restaurants and beach diners where you can eat fish, seafood, sangria, and many other local dishes etc. One of the most famed beach diners is El Tintero, in the east, where there is no menu: the waiter's sing about the food they are serving and they leave you a dish at your request. Every so often one of them offers to give you the cheque. The most common thing to eat in Malaga is espetos, sardines grilled above a fire; and pescaíto frito: all kinds of fried fish from anchovies to squid. Also worth a try are the coquinas (petite clams prepared in white wine). Scrumptious stuff!
