ArgusCarHire.Com warns Ryder Cup
Visitors to Ireland to book car hire in advance of trip as truculent Irish Taxi
Drivers go on strike again
Europe’s leading low cost car hire provider, www.ArgusCarHire.Com
is warning visitors planning to attend the Ryder Cup, being held in Ireland
from 22nd – 24th September in the K Club, Co Kildare to
book car hire in advance rather than relying on Dublin taxis for transportation
as Dublin taxi drivers go on strike again for the third time since July.
Taxi drivers are
waging war on Dublin Airport Authority in response to proposals to charge taxi
drivers an annual €500 fee for using the airport.Industry pundits are saying that Dublin taxi drivers intend to
use the Ryder Cup to vent their spleen and pressure Dublin Airport Authority to
rescind on this proposal. The Ryder Cup
is expected to make an estimated €142.5 million contribution to the Irish
economy.
Over one hundred and sixty thousand visitors
are expected to attend this three day golfing event later this month.Speaking about this dispute Greg Turley, CEO
and Founder of www.ArgusCarHire.com said “Given that the majority of this
large scale influx of visitors will arrive through Dublin airport, hoping to
take a taxi to the K Club where the Ryder Club is being held, we are strongly
recommending that these visitors book car hire in advance to avoid the planned
disruption by Dublin taxi drivers.”
