Car provided to me at Geneva airport did not have a pass for motorway travel in Switzerland. This meant that I was stopped and had to purchase an annual pass. There was no problem at the return desk in obtaining the refund from the car rental company (SIXT). However this should not have had to be my problem. Otherwise, service and performance of staff and system were excellent.

A little disappointed with my initial reception at Dublin Airport where, when I was trying to explain to a lady at the desk the details of my booking, she, as a customer services representative, felt it professional to say to me that 'if I stopped talking, she would explain to me'. Not, in my opinion a very professional approach in dealing with a client \ customer, don't you think.... Generally an excellent service. Staff were very friendly and obliging. Good value for money. Car Hire market, particularly when accessed by Internet, can be quite competitive. Personally, I always go with the lowest cost, which sometimes can be quite a saving. Some type of Loyalty Card or Repeat Business Card which offers an incentive for customer to return, for example, matching competitors rates, would be attractive and make customer likely to remain with one company.

Dear Sir,

I just returned last week from 10 days in Ireland. I had been planning this trip for quite awhile and visited many websites looking for good deals on car rentals. I am not sure how I came across Argus, but I am glad I did for several reasons:

1. The rental cost of the car was substantially less than what I had found on any other web site.
2. Your explanation of the terms of the contract were easy to read and understand.
3. Your costs included the CDW insurance.
4. And this one made me smile: when I arrived in Shannon and proceed to the Budget counter to pick up my car there was no one else in line. But at the Hertz counter there was a line of at least 20 people!!!

Seeing the line at the Hertz counter confirmed for me that people are getting ripped off by most of the travel websites.
I will ALWAYS use Argus now for my travel needs and will recommend it to everyone I know who travels!

Dear Arguscarhire,

I wanted to just let you know how very pleased I was with the recent car hire that we had arranged with yourselves with Auto Jardim in Funchal, Madeira. We were provided with an excellent clean, low mileage diesel Corsa, less than 3 months old, which was a pleasure to drive. (My car at home is a very similar Astra diesel, so most all of the controls were identical). The service from Auto Jardim was excellent and courteous, they provided us with a first class guide book and maps of the island, free of charge, and even collected the vehicle from our hotel, at the end of the rental, at no extra fee. Your rates were very competitive and I will certainly look no further than Arguscarhire, should I require to hire a car in the future.

Hi Greg,

I just want to let you know that the car hire in Toulouse airport was very efficient and I was very satisfied. I think one of the most important points is that I didn't queue compared with Hertz and Europcar, where there was obviously not enough personnel. I'd say there is nothing worse than having to wait for ages after a long trip by plane. For me it was the first time to hire a car, so next time I think I'll try driving in Ireland on the left!

We would like to congratulate your operative at the deiselcar office outside the Airport, we did not get his name but he was more than helpful. (Arrived approx. 12.00pm 5/09) The whole transaction went very smoothly and we had no problems at all. Hi,

We booked a car through your website today. I checked 5 other car rentals, AVIS, Budget, Hertz and two others I can't remember the name and without doubt yours was the easiest the fastest and the cheapest.

I could not get past the app form for AVIS - it kept saying that my flight number was invalid, its the correct flight number so that was very annoying. I would not bother with them again. Small things like that really do turn you off. I got none of that with the Argus site.

Just wanted to compliment you on an excellent service!!

We hired a van from you over the weekend, to move house. I was seriously delayed in traffic when returning the van to your Santry office yesterday, and I arrived, stressed-out, 30 minutes after the office closing time....only to find the girl (who had been so polite when I collected the van on Friday) still sitting patiently with a smile on her face!! She was waiting for me to arrive back...she even told me to relax, everything was fine, no big deal!! (despite her having a lift waiting outside!!).

I simply didn't think this sort of customer service existed any more. Not many people would sit wasting their time on a sunny Sunday evening for a very very late customer. Unfortunately I was so stressed I didn't ask her name, but she really is a credit to your organisation.
