Heathrow Airport is located to the west of London city, close to the M4 and the M 25. There are four terminals dealing with flights to and from different destinations around the world. For ease of travel, airport users need to confirm their departure/arrivals terminal. Buses are available from the central bus station in the airport. There are numerous car-parking options for drivers to the airport. The short stay car park is located a few metres from the entrance to the terminals. Prices start from �3.90 for the first hour. There are courtesy buses from the long-term car parks to the airport. Prices start from �15.40 per day for 1-4 days.

All four terminals in Heathrow Airport are well serviced with banking outlets, Atms, cafes and restaurants. Atms are available before and after security checks. Toileting and showering facilities are located in all terminals. Unisex accessible toilets for people with mobility issues, are located within the same area but may be within the women's/men's toileting area. For Terminal 1 and 2 showers are located in the Flight Connection Centre Level (FCC), after security. Terminal 4 showering facilities are available in the toilet areas in the arrivals level, before and after security (shower facilities are currently unavailable in Terminal 3).

Wireless internet access is available throughout the airport with users paying for the service using credit card or a pre-paid card. There are fixed terminals in Terminals 1 and in the transfer area in international departures with payment using coins. Business travellers may wish to book an airport Business Lounge for a quiet place to work before travel. There is a Business Centre located between Terminals 1 and 2. Twenty rooms are available for meetings and conferences with access to fax and photocopying as well as the internet.
