Eat: Along the harbor most restaurants are touristy, but not nearly as pricey as those of Ibiza. Head away from this areas for more authentic and affordable restaurants. Go to the popular Bar Bosch for cheap tapas, Ca’n Joan de S’Aigo for coffee and pastries and Ca’n Carlos for Mallorcan cuisine, which is heavy on seafood.

Drink:Tito’s, large and loud serves up pop, dance, techno and house, open only in the summer. Mallorca’s club scene is small in comparison to Ibiza, but nonetheless lively. Fresh Bar, located in Hotel Zhero is a quirky cocktail bar that offers a stylish poolside terrace.

Stay: The highest concentration of accommodation is located in the city center, so this is your best bet for finding a place to stay. Rest your head at Hostal Brondo for a central location and newly renovated rooms or try the Hotel Born set in an old, refurbished mansion.

Walk: Reconnect with nature with a walk through the Serra de Tramuntana. Trails are for all fitness levels andoffer stunning views of the island. Another option is the Parc Natural de S’Albufera is a plot of protected wetland and access to the marshes is only by foot or bike. This is also an excellent vantage point for bird-watching, so bring your binoculars!

Get Out: Head to hedonistic Ibiza for a party-fueled weekend or to Formentera for a bohemian getaway. Regular ferries go between the islands, but renting a car once on an island is highly recommended unless you want to rely on public transportation.

Listen: Mallorca Rocks and BCM Planet Dance are popular music venues and offer concerts throughout the summer. The bars in Can Barbara feature plenty of live music, try Woody’s and Garito Café for their popular DJ nights.
