Dublin Event Guide

St. Patrick's Day Festival begins in the second week in March (the Day is the 17th of March) originally celebrated the Christianisation of the Irish. These days it is a week long celebration of Irish life; parades, fun events and colourful costumes take over the streets of the capital and visitors better be prepared to 'wear the green' and join in the celebration of all things Irish.

The Dublin Theatre Festival is a relatively recent addition to the entertainment circuit. Usually in September/October the event gathers performances from around the world to venues throughout the city.
