Cork Arts Guide

Cork city has a thriving arts scene. Concerts, events and exhibitions are held across the city during the year. Referred to as The People's Republic of Cork by local residents, this county has always had an element of rebelliousness running through the hearts and minds of the people. The art galleries and exhibition spaces of the city vary in size, subject and location and are sure to perk every visitor’s interest.

The Crawford Gallery is located on Emmet Place in the centre of the city near the Opera House. Special exhibits that change on a regular basis join ongoing exhibitions of statues, paintings and multimedia displays. There is a good cafe and gift shop on the premises.
