Friedrichshafen Airport is an airport located just 3km (1.9 miles) north of the town of Friedrichshafen in Germany. The lakeside promenade of Friedrichshafen is a gorgeous esplanade that affords fantastic views of both the lake and the surrounding Swiss and Austrian alpine landscape. The lookout tower at the entrance to the harbour in Friedrichshafen is one of the city's new major landmarks. Climbing six levels up the steel staircase will bring you to a viewing platform that provides a spectacular panoramic vista of the Lake, the harbour, the Alps, and the town itself.
