Although you may be confined to marveling at the building from the outside – admission is restricted to those with reservations, and a night at the hotel will probably blow your entire budget!

There are many Souks (markets) in Dubai, particularly in the warren of lanes and alleys that wind their way around the Deira side of DubaiCreek. Heady, pungent aromas of spice, perfume and incense fill the air, and there is delicious, cheap food available from many stalls – a great way to eat on a budget. The gold souk is a dazzling collection of shops trading the gold that Dubai is so famous for. The antiques market has coffee pots, daggers and swords, Bedouin jewelry and carvings, Arabian chests and much more, at low cost.

Day passes can be bought for most hotel swimming pools and private beaches, health clubs and spas. Prices range from the very cheap to quite expensive, depending on the hotel, with prices starting at around $10. You can stick to your budget and still spend a day in the lap of luxury!

Eating Out/Nightlife in Dubai

There are hundreds of restaurants to choose from in Dubai, it all depends on your budget and whether you’re looking for something low cost and cheap or high end and luxurious. Indian restaurants are excellent and great value for those counting their pennies – $3 meals taste fantastic and will keep your budget under control. Hotels that have meal deals are also a good idea, with many offering $10 buffets plus swimming pool use for the day!

Dubai is a party town – people like to unwind and have fun in the evenings.
